Quiz Information List

If your library participates in the Accelerated Reader™ or Reading Counts!® program, or both, you can enter quiz information on the Add Quiz Info page or in the MARC Editor.

Quiz numbers appear in the Quiz Info section of Title Details.

Quiz information that appears on the Quiz Information List page comes from any of the following sources:

• An Enterprise subscription to Accelerated Reader or Reading Counts!
• A manual addition on the Add Quiz Info page
• A manual addition in the MARC Editor
• Imported title records
• Uploaded quiz file

To add, edit, or delete quiz info from the Quiz Information List page:

1. Log in as a district- or site- level user.
2. Search for and select a title.
3. On either the Title Details or MARC View sub-tab, click Edit Quiz Info.
4. Do one of the following

   To...	Then...
   Add a quiz	Click Add Quiz. Continue to step 5.
   Edit quiz information	Click . Continue to step 5.
   Delete quiz information	Click .

   Note: You cannot edit or delete information supplied by an Enterprise subscription.

5. Use the Program drop-down to select the reading program.
6. Add a Point Value, Reading Level, Interest Level, and Quiz Number.

   Note: The Point Value and Reading Level are required.

7. If you are a district user, select the school that owns the quiz from the Site drop-down.
8. Click Save.

Because libraries in the district share title records but have their own copy records and reading programs, Destiny ensures the information appears appropriately for all the patrons in the district. Destiny adds a subfield 5 to each 526 field and the Study Program Note, containing the Short Name of the site cataloging this information or owning the quiz.

You can remove 526 tags from your collection in one operation in Catalog > Update Titles > Delete Tags sub-tab.

These fields correspond to the following tags of the MARC 21 format:

Enterprise Reading Program Subscription and Quiz Information

When you subscribe to an Enterprise reading program service, Destiny checks to see if your existing quiz information is duplicated by new information from the Enterprise service.

If duplicate information is found, Destiny only displays the information from the Enterprise service on search results lists and Title Details. All quiz information is displayed on the Quiz Information List page.
