Enable MackinVia Integration

You can integrate Destiny with MackinVIA™.

Before You Begin

  • If your district is self-hosted, before you integrate Destiny with MackinVIA, your Destiny Administrator must register the Destiny server as Production. See Server Identity.

When requesting the integration, pPrint the report that provides the information you need to share with Baker & Taylor (by clicking when requesting the integration. To print the report, clickRun Report).

 

To enable the MackinVIA integration:

  1. Complete requirements in the Before You Begin section.
  2. Log in as the Destiny Administrator.
  3. Select Setup > Sites sub-tab.
  4. Find the district, and then click .
  5. Find the MackinVIA Integration section.
  6. Use the following table to complete your task(s):
    To…Then…
    Integrate MackinVIA
    1. Select the Enable MackinVIA Integration checkbox.
    2. Read the agreement.
    3. To sign the agreement, enter your Name, and then click Sign.
    4. Click Save.

    Note: To discontinue the MackinVIA integration, deselect the Enable MackVIA Integration checkbox. A message appears.

    Test that the integration was successful
    • Click Test Connection.

    If the integration is unsuccessful, either go to https://www.mackin.com/corp/resources/mackinvia/ and complete a support form, or call 800.245.9540.

    Generate a report of the required fields
    • Click Run Report.

    The report provides the information you need to share with MackinVIA when requesting the integration.
