Resource List (Resource Manager)

To access a Resource List, select Catalog > Resource Lists. Next to the List you want to see, click View.

If Resource Lists include multiple types of resources, they are organized by sub-tabs. The sub-tabs you see depend on the types of resources in the Resource List and can include: Library Materials, Resources, Web Sites, One Search, Media, and Digital Resources.

The Resources sub-tab includes links to resources you track in Destiny Resource Manager. From this page, you can perform the following functions for public Resource Lists and ones you own:

Print a List

You can create a printout of resources in the List that includes the resource name, type, and item availability.

To print a list:

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to print, click View.
  3. Use the Sort By drop-down to choose the order you want the items to appear, and then click Go. The default order is by Resource Name.
  4. If the List is multiple pages, click Show All to include all titles.
  5. Click Printable.

Save a List as Text

To download a text file of the resources in the List:

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to save, click View.
  3. From the I want to drop-down at the top of the page, select Save as text, and then click Go.

Email a List

You can email a Resource List to yourself of another person.

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to email, click View.
  3. From the I want to drop-down, select Email this List, and then click Go.
  4. Fill in the Recipient Information.
  5. Click Send.

Copy a List

You can copy a Resource list, and then modify it as needed.

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to copy, click View.
  3. From the I want to drop-down, select Copy this List, and then click Go.
  4. Fill in the information on the Copy List page.
  5. Click Save.

Create a New List

You can start a new Resource List from within a List you own.

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. From the top of the page, click Add List.

Note: You can also create a new Resource List from Catalog > Resource List.

Add Resources to a List

To add resources from within a Resource List:

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to add to, click View.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • If the List is empty, click Add to this List.
    • If the List already has titles in it, from the I want to drop-down, select Add to this List, and then click Go.
  4. From the Add to Resource List page, select resources to add.
  5. Click Add to List.

Note: You can also add a resource to a Resource List from search results (Catalog > Resource Search). Next to the resource you want to add, click Add to this List.

Remove Resources from a List

  1. Select Catalog > Resource Lists > Resources sub-tab.
  2. Next to the List you want to remove resources from, click View.
  3. Do one of the following:
    • Next to the resource you want to remove, click Remove.
    • To clear the entire list, click Remove All.

Merge Duplicate Records

You can use Resource Lists to merge duplicate records. Once you add the duplicate tiles to a List, select the best one, move all the item records to it, and then delete the others. To learn more, see Merge Duplicate Resource Records Using a Resource List.

Note: All the selected resources must be of the same type.
