Map Patrons to LDAP Servers

For each Patron Type in your district, you can designate a primary and secondary LDAP server.

Global Update

If a particular Patron Type, regardless of site, uses the same LDAP server, you can update all of them at once:

  1. Log in as a Destiny Administrator.
  2. Select Setup > District Options.
  3. Next to LDAP Servers, click Edit.
  4. On the LDAP Setup page, click Edit Mappings.
  5. From the Global Update Every Patron Type of drop-down, select the Patron Type you want to update.
  6. Use the table below to determine how to change the servers:

    Change Primary LDAP Server to

    The server used for authentication

    Note: Selecting Unassigned removes the mapping for the selected Patron Type.

    Change Secondary LDAP Server to

    The secondary server for authentication

    Note: Selecting Unassigned removes the mapping for the selected Patron Type.

  7. Click Update.

Individual Update

You can add, change or remove the LDAP servers for a particular patron type:

  1. Next to the Patron Type/Site Name you want to update, click .
  2. Use the table below to determine how to change the servers:

    The server used for authentication

    Note: Selecting Unassigned removes the mapping for the selected Patron Type.

    Secondary LDAP Server

    The secondary server for authentication

    Note: Selecting Unassigned removes the mapping for the selected Patron Type.

  3. Click Save.
