Transition to Resource Manager

The transition utility performs a check to determine if the system is ready to transition from Destiny Textbook Manager to Destiny Resource Manager.

Note: The transition requires changing barcodes for textbooks (T barcodes).

Preview Transition

  1. Log in as a Destiny Administrator.
  2. Select Setup > District Options sub-tab.
  3. Next to Transition to Resource Manager, click Edit.

    Note: If all textbooks have been previously transitioned, the Transition to Resource Manager section does not appear.

  4. Under Run transition in preview mode, click Go. A confirmation pop-up explains the process and asks if you want to continue.

    This transition utility will verify whether you can transition your textbook data (from Textbook Manager) into Resource Manager.

    This is a one time, one way transition to move your textbook data into Resource Managerand cannot be reversed. The utility will transition all data records, their current status, and any administrative settings.

    The utility performs various checks to ensure a successful transition, such as:

    • The correct licensing (a Resource Manager license that supports textbook management at every Textbook Manager location).

    • No open Resource or Textbook Inventories in process.

    The following features in Textbook Manager are NOT in Resource Manager:

    • Saved reports
    • Multiple currency formats
    • Textbook associations

    Run the transition in preview mode to determine whether the system is ready to transition from Textbook Manager to Resource Manager. No data will be changed during the check.

  5. Click Yes.The Job Manager opens. When the Transition to Resource Manager Preview job status is Completed, click View to see the Job Summary.
